30 min - The day begins with pick-ups at the different meeting points and a trip to Firgas, where we will stop to walk around and discover the first details about the local culture. In addition, we will enjoy a wonderful aerial view of the Barranco de Azuaje and Barranco de La Virgen, which will help us glimpse the magnitude and importance of the ancient Doramas’ Forest.

Barranco de Azuaje
3 hr - After a short car ride, we arrive at the bed of the ravine, where we will take a pleasant stroll through a spectacular natural setting. Here you can see the ruins of an ancient spa, located in one of the most incredible places in Gran Canaria. Our tour takes place in the Laurisilva Forest, where we walk around the watercourse and make stops so that you can swim and jump into natural pools.

Mirador Azuaje
1 hr - After we awaken the five senses, we will tour a working farm where we can learn about the importance of water and see how a crop is organized using traditional methods. We will then enjoy a delicious tasting of fresh fruit and other local products under the shade of trees in a unique setting.

Rainforest tour with tasting

The Rainforest Tour with tasting was the best-guided tour we've ever been on. We started at the 'Paseo de Gran Canarias' in Firgas. After a little sightseeing moment, we went to the rainforest. During the walk, the guides shared some information about nature and history of Gran Canaria. They explained everything with a lot of passion. At some point, you could even swim in a natural swimming pool!! After the tour, we went to a little farm, where we had a little tasting of the fruit and vegetables that grow there. The food was delicious and the setting was very idyllic. We really recommend this tour because you need locals to find gems like this rainforest tour. You can't find this in the typical touristy part of Gran Canaria, especially if you love being in nature. Bonus: the guides were really funny and they treat you like family.

A Trip I will never forget

I went to this trip over a week ago and I still tell everyone about it. I really enjoyed EVERYTHING! Starting with the small town Figueres and the history which was so interesting! The walk through the rainforest was also so nice! I enjoyed being in nature so much because I stayed in the South of Gran Canaria where everything is so touristic. The Rainforest isn`t at all! Super nice! Highlight: Jumping into the refreshing Natural Swimming Pool in the Rain Forest! What I loved about the trip was the finca and the farm. To see how we are still able to live in a natural way just blowed my mind. I was very impressed by this and the taste of the local food - well that`s how food should taste like! That was the second best thing about the whole day! The best thing about the Trip was our guide Marina. These Days it makes me so happy to be with people living their dream, people with an open heart an people who are interested in history and how we can profit from it. She was the best and she really was my highlight! I really recommend this trip if you enjoy nature or if you are feeling disconnected from it. It was so worth it! And I would do it again and again and again!

Review

A very good experience, gained a lot of knowledge. Good explanations every time from the guide who was very passionate. Good transport by bus with the necessary explanation in between. I had a nice walk through the woods. We even got some of the leftover food back to the hotel. Not only attention for the tour but also for the people who participate in it. It was my girlfriend's birthday and she even arranged a cake for this (she knew this in advance)

The rainforest trip

The rainforest trip was a great experience, something different from the south part if the island ( u can’t expect to be so green place in Gran Canaria!). I need also to drop a line for our tour guide Marina. Her passion and knowledge for the island were great! I really recommend it!

Nice family trip

The environment was nice. The walk was a little bit short and there was a lot of explaining about what we were seeing. But the explanations were very clear and interesting which made it worthwhile. Our guides were very kind and funny. And good drivers which is also pleasant at a trip like this. Also the lunch at the farm was very good and the view at the natural swimming pool was beautiful. Altogether we had a wonderful day!
